Youth workshop concludes with performance of Beauty and the Beast

Students from Binghamton University’s Summer Youth Musical Workshop will perform Disney’s hit musical Beauty and the Beast at 2 and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 16, and Sunday, August 17, in Watters Theater, located in the Fine Arts Building, on the University campus. 

The three-week workshop, comprised of theatre students ages 12-18, is headed up by Artistic Director Aaron Nicholson, Musical Director Brenda Dawe, Director Elaine Tamaru, Conductor Todd Robinson along with guest director James Everett Lortz.

The workshop, co-sponsored by the Binghamton University Music and Continuing Education and Outreach departments, has touched the lives of hundreds of youth in Broome and Tioga Counties since its inception in 1998.  
Tickets are $15 for the general public and $7 for students and are available from the Anderson Center Box Office from noon to 5:30 p.m. weekdays, by calling 777-ARTS, on line at anderson.binghamton.edu or at the door.
